A new project to track the subbing status of every single episode of Arashi's variety shows, movies, TV specials and concerts. Right now, 63.36% of all Arashi content is currently subbed, and we need help to make sure that every one of these links is available for people to access if they join the communities that make up this number. We have combed through every existing sub index and masterpost from the past to log how many episodes of each show have been kindly subbed, and the info has been compiled into this new spreadsheet which will be regularly maintained and updated, as current ones are mostly inactive.
The most important thing to mention - this index will not link to any community, their posts, or the direct link to any subbed content. To be extra clear, this serves solely as an index; not a place to share links. Any information currently in the document is publicly accessible. Any subbing communities that do not have their names publicly known have this reflected in the document already. We understand how important subbers are to the community - any communities that contact me asking to be removed from the doc will be. This is not intended to be a replacement subbing community, but instead a collaborative community effort. We hope that this can even encourage subbers to "fill in the gaps", until we can maybe even reach 100% of content subbed!
The first stage of this project requires manpower to check the status of currently subbed links. If you are a member of any communities listed in the document and want to donate some of your time to checking to see if the community is both active and have said episodes subbed, please message me on here, Twitter (@Xenochria) or on the Arashi Discord, and you will be invited for discussion of the project in a new channel. I thought that this would make a great community project, bringing us together to enjoy as much of their content as possible over the upcoming hiatus.
I expect this effort to last multiple years to get to the end goal of 100% of content subbed. Future stages of the project involve reaching out to communities to create an offline repository of backed up content - available for any community to contact us for a mirror of their content forever. Any dead communities that we would be unable to contact for permission to do this will be treated as not subbed; and thus will require resubbing from scratch by someone else. We don't want to step on any toes.
To summarise: This is a new subbing index. Anyone who wants to check the link status of communities you're already a part of, please message me! We will never post links in the doc.
